Lucky for us, the Bridges got free tickets to see the Grand Prairie AirHogs baseball game.
We won't even talk about what a train wreck Mommy was getting us there. Suffice it to say, she was 1/2 hour late, almost forgot Mimi at daycare, went the wrong way and almost ran out of gas. I think the highlight of the trip for Darby was Mommy going the wrong way - she was still talking about it as we were leaving the game.
The highlight for Dalton was seeing his Bailey-Boo. It was all he talked about the whole way there and all he has talked about today is going to her house. I believe love is in the air.
When we finally got there we realized it was "Dog Night", so there were lots of dogs to park all over the ballpark. I believe we got to about 90% of them.
The seats were good - right above first base - right near where Scout the AirHog was dancing. So we spent a good amount of time talking about him, wanting to give him a hi-five, and then being to afraid to actually do it.
After some running and dancing and general rowdiness, we went and got dinner. Hot dogs, french fries, and of course, ketchup. After dinner we ventured over to the playground. A staple of any good ballpark. We returned to our seats in time for the 7th inning stretch and sing. Then it was time to pet some more dogs and go back to the playground.
Eventually we decided to leave. On the way out, Jordan accidentally tripped Darby. To calm her down she wanted to sit on Mommy's lap. In a red seat (aka bleacher). So we all sat down. And then, of course, they decided to watch the game. Impeccable timing - the top of the 9th - the end of the game. But good times were had by all. And I believe we have determined they're not quite ready for the Rangers game.
