And then he literally screamed at full volume the entire ride home. Entire ride. When we first started driving, Darby tried talking to me. I yelled to her that I couldn't hear her over the screaming, so she started yelling her conversation to me. Apparently she felt the need to tell me she had yawned, and that she was tired, and that she was going to take a little nap (yeah, right..) At the current decibel level of the car, this would have been a physical impossibility. As we got closer to home she turned to him and said, in a very annoyed, adult voice - "Dalton, would you please stop that crying!" No dice. This pic was taken when we pulled into the garage.
Of course, once we got inside, he was totally fine.
On the flip side of that, he could not be cuter about how much he loves and idolizes Darby. He is currently obsessed with taking her food and drinks to her. When I went to take the plates to the table last night he started squawking that he wanted to carry a plate. Logically I tried to give him his, but he insisted on taking Darby's. He just loves walking up and saying "Here you go Darby!"
Last night he decided we were all going to wear hats. I wish this was the last time I saw him in an outfit such as this, but I fear that is a pipe dream.
I thought Darby looked super-cute though. She was obsessed with packing bags for us to take to the "Pizza Party". She and Dalton had to spend a long time packing and re-packing them and taking them to her "car". Of course, we were informed that we couldn't go to said Pizza Party until we took a nap. It's ironic that she spends so much time insisting that she is tired and needs a nap, but when it's time for bed she goes kicking and screaming.
As the party moved into the bathroom - apparently "Teddy" needed to pee (although in this case Teddy was Darby's doll - ??) - Dalton decided everyone needed sunglasses. That included "Teddy"...and of course, Stella.
Mr. Hollywood. A far cry (pun not originally intended, but appropriate) from the first pic.
